Probably not a problem with the hub though. Only 40 before getting hardware failures. The 30A +5V power supply I used still wouldn't power 49 block erupters. Thanks again! We purchased for Moonlander Mining. We got 15 devices to work with no problem, couldn't get any more than that to work.ĥ Worked wonderfully. I forgot I had the Erupter and found it today. Make sure you got a standard atx power supply handy.Cgminer detected every port with every miner.ĥ The Best Worked good for what we needed them for. I know its 2021 and pretty much impossible to solo mine with this and find a block (so youre saying theres a chance), but why not. This thing just pwns with the red fury or sapphire asic erupters. I highly recommend if you are interested in this hub to obtain it through Jones Gear!ĥ Good Lord the BTC champs. They amazed me at how they responded and how quickly they shipped the items (typically receive them 3 days after I order, and that's not using a special shipping, just the default free shipping, amazon items takes 4-5 days).Very happy with the product and the staff was professional and on those two accounts I am now a loyal customer of jones gear for any of my future mining needs ( so far got 2 of the "Block Eruptor Cubes", 12 "Bitmain Antminer u1's" and 1 of these hubs). I have yet to have any issue arise due to the hub.Ended up having a reason to contact Jones Gear and they were highly professional and very courteous. At first when I opened the hub, I needed to tighten down a few of the screws (more than likely the shipping process just rattled them a bit loose), I plugged in a power supply and then the u1 antminers and started up my mining and everything was working the way it should. Great product.ĥ Great hub I purchased this hub due to the fact I was slowly getting more usb u1 miners and didn't want to get a hub that could only hold 10 or less usb's. Does what it says.finally a USB port expansion device that works as advertised. It would be helpful if cables were supplied with it.Ĥ Great product. That way my old 275 watt PSU can do the job :)Ĥ Four Stars A good addition to a system and works well. just to use a fraction of its output. Its tempting to build a supplemental 12V to 5V regulator using the PCI-e (12v) output and seeing if it is possible to connect that into the ATX PSU connector, or plugging it into some of the unused USB ports. This will likely involve finding a 750W to 1100Watt PSU. This means it ignores the lions share of modern ATX power supplies output in the form of the 12V rail, and only uses the 5V output. What this boils down to is that limited to just 28 devices I will still have to find a PSU that outputs around 30A on the 5V rail. This unit will max out at 28 devices the size of a Gekko Science 2PAC.Also looking into the device from the side, as it is built for ventilation, I can see that it has no power regulation circuitry. ATX is a good choice as that seems to be the only way to get a solid power supply that lives up to its specs for a price this side of sanity. This looks to be a perfect fit for Block Erupters, however newer USB ASICs have larger heat sinks and as a result I have to skip a USB port between devices. Very clean design, it eliminates a rats nest of USB and power cables I had previously. but could benifit by using the 12V rail in addition to the 5V rail. MUST HAVE This is the best USB hub ever.It is what fixes all issues with power to your miners.ĥ Five Stars Perfect for beginning miners, easy to set up.ĥ Solid unit, uses ATX PSU.
